It was classified in the special education category in the early years and later belonged to the art education. At the time when the 12-year compulsory education is about to be implemented, the curriculum must also be converted into literacy-based curriculum. The subjects were the higher-grade students of artistically talented classes which included four elementary schools in Kaohsiung City. According to the result of questionnaires, the learning satisfaction and learning performance of these students was investigated. The research data is further based on descriptive statistics, t-test, single variable analysis, Pearsons correlation coefficient and other statistical methods to understand the learning satisfaction of the students in the course contents, teaching methods, environmental equipments, and interpersonal relationships. The study found that the students in artistically talented class of elementary schools in Kaohsiung City were satisfied with their satisfaction and learning performance. Different genders, grades, reasons for reading, and scores of arts have significant differences in student satisfaction in learning. Different genders, grades, reasons for reading, scores of art, participation in competitions and other factors have significant differences in students perceptions of learning performance. There was a moderate positive correlation between learning satisfaction and learning performance in artistically talented class students. Based on the results of this study, the higher the learning satisfaction of the students in the artistically talented class of elementary school in Kaohsiung City, the better their learning performance.
