碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 經學研究所 === 107 === The emphasis of the study lies in confirming the significance of the psychological bearing capacity to an admirable general and the reason why it’s less indicated by the Art of War. Used in the paper, the method is known as enumerating the characters that an outstanding general should have which were mentioned in the Seven Military Classics as well as on War, and compare them with each other. Afterwards, examine the mental capacity with the survey result data from modern military psychology and several specific examples of war. As a consequence, the findings of the research have led to the conclusion that the psychological bearing capacity is rarely been touched upon in the Art of War attribute to the writing position and the cultural factors.
