Description
Summary:博士 === 國立高雄科技大學 === 工業工程與管理系 === 107 === The tourism industry uses a star industry in the 21st century. "Tourism" has become the primary source of foreign exchange earnings in many countries. Taiwan’s government has put forward a number of incentive plans to stimulate the overall development of the tourism industry, which has greatly stimulated the tourism industry and the demand for accommodation, catering, and other services , and the hotel industry is an important representative of the tourism industry. This study used the Context-Dependent (DEA) model of Data Envelopment Analysis to evaluate the relative operating performance of the input and output of 67 international tourist hotels in Taiwan, in order to understand the performance and relative competitive advantages of Taiwan's international tourist hotels. According to the efficiency values of various international tourist hotels, this study distinguished the efficiency frontier of different levels, and then, used the efficiency frontier of different levels as the evaluation background to obtain the relative attractiveness and relative progress, respectively, which were sorted according to the efficiency value to objectively judge the performance of each international tourist hotel and distinguish the presence of competitors and potential competitors. The empirical results show that five benchmark performance levels were formed with input orientation. According to the distribution of attractiveness at the efficient frontier of each level of efficiency, 17 were the best at the first level, 11 at the second level, 19 at the third level, 14 at the fourth level, 5 at the fifth level, and 1 at the sixth level. At Level 1 with the best performance, hotels in the Taipei area accounted for 58.8% and scenic areas accounted for 29.4%, which shows that the Taipei area has an advantage in geographical location and higher operating performance than other metropolitan areas, followed by scenic areas. In the face of a highly competitive environment, Increase the importance of the F&B sector, in order to increase the ratio of the F&B sector's operating income to the total operating income and join the International tourist hotel chain Group to attract international tourists, or establish a chain system in Taiwan by adding branches to increase the number of Taiwanese tourists in the market share.
