Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄科技大學 === 工業工程與管理系 === 107 === Abstract In the era of Industry 4.0, the motor machinery industry is inevitably affected by it. When manufacturers faced the challenge of the fourth industrial revolution, it is important that they maintain their own operational efficiency and market profitability. The study used two-stage Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to evaluate the operating efficiency and market capabilities during the year of 2017 for twenty-eight electric machinery manufacturers in Taiwan. In the first phase, we input operating expenses, number of workers, total assets as three variables and regard operating income and net non-operating income as output to evaluate manufacturers technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency. Then, we use Slack Variable Analysis to evaluate the res ult and use it as suggestions for those inefficient manufacturers to change their business direction. In the second phase, we input operating profit and non-operating income as variables and regard Earnings Per Share, Price-Book Ratio, Operating Profit Margin, Pre-Tax Income, revenue and operating income as output to explore the marketing ability of the manufacturer and the results analysis can serve as a reference with respect to ability they are raising. The study result showed that among twenty-eight manufacturers, there are eight manufacturers can maintain good operating efficiency and market capabilities, among which KIAN SHEN, LUXE and TAI-SHING rank the top three. There are nine manufacturers who can delivered good operating efficiency but need to strengthen their market capabilities; meanwhile, three manufacturers have good market capabilities but need to strength their operating efficiency. Finally, eight manufacturers can’t uphold both of the skills at the same time.
