Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄科技大學 === 金融資訊系 === 107 === The data in the study is base on the database of property & casualty insurance statistics from the Insurance Institute of Taiwan. The statistics data collected from the automobile Physical Damage A and B insurance for non-commercial purpose sedan. There are fourteen domestic non-life insurance companies. There are sixty-two domestic and imported vehicle brands are examined subjects of the study. 10 variables are used test the loss ratios of empirical analysis. Here are the variables: written no., written premiums, earned no., earned premiums, incurred losses no., incurred losses amount, average written premiums, loss severity, loss frequency, and loss ratios. The empirical results are shown as follows : According to Independent Sample T-test,  The loss ratios of automobile physical damage A has no difference from the domestic car to the imported Car.  As for the loss ratios of automobile physical damage B, the domestic cars have no significant difference, but the imported Cars have an obviously difference. According to the multiple regression analysis,  Domestic cars show a significant difference in loss severity; Loss severity of domestic cars can significartly affect loss ratios.  Imported cars show a significant difference in loss frequency, the secondary is loss severity. For the case of imported cars, loss frequency is the most important factor to affect loss ratios, and the mirror factor is loss severity. When we analysis the automobile physical damage B, the most effective variety is loss severity in both domestic and imported cars. The secondary variety is the loss frequency.
