There were many researchers who pointed out the CEO power may have some influence for the companies from previous literatures. However, there is no paper that had considered CEO power and product diversification simultaneously. Thus, this paper is going to examine the impacts of CEO power and product diversification. This paper concludes that the CEO power indexes had some impact on the product diversification strategy for the company. In the CEO power indexes, we can conclude that Expert power and Prestige power are significantly and positively related to product diversification; whereas, Structure power and Ownership power are in significantly correlation to the product diversification. That is to say, when the CEO had served as senior manager or had other experience of being a CEO in other companies before, or the CEO also served as a senior manager in another company simultaneously, it will have a positive impact on the product diversification strategy for the company.
