Research on Motivation, Goal Orientation and Self-confidence of Pingtung County Elementary school Volleyball Players

碩士 === 國立屏東大學 === 體育學系碩士班 === 107 === This study aims to explore the research on the motivation, goal orientation and self-confidence of sports participation in Pingtung County elementary school volleyball players, and to compare the differences between different backgrounds. Then explore the related situations and predictions of athletes' participation motivation, goal orientation and self-confidence. . Taking the participants of the Pingtung County Games Elementary school Team Volleyball Competition for the 107th academic year as the main research object, the questionnaire survey method was mainly used, 355 formal questionnaires were distributed, 333 were collected, 333 valid questionnaires, 0 invalid questionnaires, and valid questionnaires were collected. The rate is 93.8%. The basic materials of the subjects were 194 boys, accounting for 58.3%, and 139 girls, accounting for 41.7%. The average height of boys was 149.60 cm±9.76, the average height of girls was 149.90 cm±9.37, and the average weight of boys was 45.34 kg±10.88. The average weight of girls was 46.27 kg±9.19; the average age of boys was 11.12±0.95 years, and the average weight of girls was 11.25±0.81 years. The content of the questionnaire was measured by the Participation Motivation Scale, the Target Acquisition Vector Table and the Self-Confidence Scale to measure the participants' motivation, goal orientation and self-confidence. The information collected taken independent samples t-test, independent samples one-way ANOVA, Scheffe’s post hoc tests, Pearson product-moment correlation and multiple stepwise regression analysis, significant level set at α= .05. The results are as follows: First, the motivation of participation in the elementary school volleyball players with different background variables is not significantly different in the grade and average weekly practice, but there are significant differences in gender and sports years. Second, the target orientation of the elementary school volleyball players with different background variables has no significant difference in the average weekly practice time, but there are significant differences in gender, grade and seniority. Third, the elementary school volleyball players with different background variables have no significant difference in average weekly practice time, but there are significant differences in gender, grade and sports years. Fourth, the Pingtung County elementary school volleyball players' sports participation motivation, goal orientation and self-confidence are significantly related. Fifth, the motivation and goal orientation of Pingtung County's elementary school athletes' participation in sports can significantly predict self-confidence. The conclusions are as follows: Elementary school volleyball players with different background variables have different genders and sports years and different choices for sports participation motivation ; gender, grade, and seniority have different choices for target orientation ; gender, grade, and sports age are different and confident Heart has different feelings ; sports participation motivation, goal orientation and self-confidence are significantly related; sports participation motivation and goal orientation can effectively predict self-confidence.
