The study of imidazopyridines as the host materials for Organic light-emitting diodes

碩士 === 國立中山大學 === 光電工程學系研究所 === 107 === In this thesis, a series of imidazopyridine derivatives named as RM-135, RM-142 and DG-400 were studied. The donor–π–acceptor (D-π-A) structured materials were designed with the concept of push–pull moieties. The triplet energy of the three materials falls bet...

The donor–π–acceptor (D-π-A) structured materials were designed with the concept of push–pull moieties. The triplet energy of the three materials falls between 2.24 eV and 2.45 eV. Therefore, red OLEDs were developed by using the imidazopyridine derivatives as the host and fac- (2,4-Pentanedionato)bis[2-(2-quinolinyl)phenyl]iridium(III) [ir(pq)2 acac] as the dopant. With the optimization process, The RM-135 device showed 13.4%、23.3 cd/A and 20.4 lm/W in EQE, current efficiency and power efficiency, respectively. The RM-142 device showed 9.7%、16.5cd/A and 16.1 lm/W in EQE, current efficiency and power efficiency. The DG-400 device showed 10.1%、17.4cd/A and 17.1 lm/W in EQE, current efficiency and power efficiency. RM-135 shows comparable results compared with CBP(C36H24N2 ), indicating the imidazopyrene derivative has the potential as a host material for high-efficiency red OLEDs.
