Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北商業大學 === 國際商務系研究所 === 107 === This study is to explore the factors affecting Taiwan's total import and export trade. Based on the trade gravity model, we used 14 major Taiwanese trading countries as samples. The study period is from 2009 to 2018, and we applied panel data to conduct the regression analysis. This study illustrate that whether the geographical distance, gross domestic product per capita, cultural dimension and economic freedom between Taiwan and the sample countries will affect the total trade or not. Besides, cultural distance and economic freedom are as for interference variables to explore the interaction of geographical distance and GDP per capita. The study found that the GDP per capita has a positive relationship with the total trade, and the geographical distance have a negative relationship. The interaction between the cultural distance and GDP per capita has a negative impact. The economic freedom has a significant impact on the interaction between geographical distance and GDP per capita. Economic freedom has a positive impact on geographical distance, and economic freedom has a negative impact on GDP per capita.
