That can reduce patient anxiety and improve the self-care ability. This is a quasi-experimental study by using questionnaire survey. Base on technology acceptance model and the innovation diffusion theory as the research framework to explore whether the nurses and inpatients were satisfied with the use of bedside care platform technology with nurs- ing instructional applications in the hospital. The data collection was performed from April 12 to September 30, 2017, the questionnaires included categories in perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, compatibility, observability, and satisfaction of bedside care platforms for nurses and inpatients. 166 nurses and 173 inpatients were recruited, additionally;the inpatients were divided into the bedside care platform and the traditional nursing instruction group. Forty-five of the tests were filled in before and after the fall prevention nursing instruction on patients. The results revealed the study variables with the satisfaction scores are as the following: for nurses, bedside care platform system in perceived usefulness (r=.726), perceived ease of use (r=.664), compatibility (r=.751) and observability (r=.766) were presented, and for inpatients in perceived usefulness (r=.710), perceived ease of use (r=.595), and compatibility (r=.411) were shown which improved the satisfaction of hospitalized duration. In addition, the result of knowledge scores found both bedside care instruct- tion group (t =-10.66, p <.001) and the traditional instruction group (t =-10.71, p <.001) could improve the patient's knowledge rate (p < .001), and the knowledge improvement rate of bedside care instruction (t =1.24, p =.004) was more significant than traditional care instruction (t = 2.39, p = 0.159). This study showed that nurses and inpatients perceptions are positively related to perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, compatibility, and satisfaction of use. While observability was still positively correlated with the satisfaction of nurses, there was no significant correla- tion between observability and satisfaction for the inpatients. We hope the results can be used as a reference for future information system development and content optimization. The result is also expected to be used for other institutions in planning nursing instruction in content design as references, thereby simplifying the clinical practice, improving the satisfaction of inpatients, and achieving a win-win situation.
