Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 材料科學系碩士班 === 107 === ABSTRACT In this study, homogeneous precipitation in aqueous solution containing organic modified solvent was used to synthesize nickel hydroxide adsorbent. The characteristics of the adsorbent were analyzed and its application in Congo red adsorption was also discussed. The organic modified solvents that used in this study were methanol, ethanol, ethylene glycol, propanol, isopropanol and glycerol, were added to the urea solution containing nickel nitrate to form nickel hydroxide adsorbent. And the pH value and temperature were discussed with the impact of the adsorption process. The pH value during the reaction was measured using a pH meter, and the crystal surface and structure of the synthesized product were analyzed by XRD and SEM. In the adsorption study, UV-Vis was used to detect Congo red solution before and after adsorption. The results of this study show that under such a reaction scheme, the α-phase nickel hydroxide particles can be successfully synthesized, and the yield is higher under the reaction solution containing the higher carbon organic solvents. Higher content of organic modified solvent in the reaction solution can be used to synthesize α-phase nickel hydroxide with less water molecules in the layered structure. At pH 6, there is a better adsorption effect for the adsorbent prepared in this study to adsorbed Congo red. The buffer solution can effectively stabilize the pH of the adsorption process. After being thermally activated in an aqueous solution at 90°C with a heating time of 30 minutes, the nickel hydroxide adsorbent having the best adsorption ability are obtained. In this study, combined with the control of the organic modification solvent, pH and temperature, the α-phase nickel hydroxide particles with the best adsorption of 261.37 mg/g were determined.
