Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 教育學系科技發展與傳播碩士班 === 107 === The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of applying PaGamO online gaming platform into math teaching on the math learning attitude and achievement of 7th graders with different achievement levels. Taking the "factors and multiples" unit as the content of inquiry, this study adopted a nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects of this study were fifty 7th graders from a Tainan municipal junior high school. The experimental group was taught by integrating PaGamO online gaming platform into math teaching, while the control group received the traditional teacher-fronted instruction, and the experimental study was carried out for eight weeks. The research tools are the "Mathematics Learning Attitude Scale" and the "Mathematics Learning Achievement Test" based on quantitative statistics. The "Questionnaire about using the PaGamO Game Learning Platform" and the "Interview data from the Experiment Group Students" are used for qualitative analysis to explore the performance of seventh-grade students at difference achievement levels in mathematics learning attitude and learning achievement. The findings of this study show (1) the experimental group scores were higher than the control group in math learning attitude, especially in active learning, studying plan and class situation; (2) the math learning attitude scores of students with different achievement levels in the experimental group were improved significantly; (3) the experimental group scores were higher than the control group in math learning achievement test; (4) the math learning achievement test scores of students with middle achievement level in the experimental group were improved significantly; (5) the students of the experiment group expressed great satisfaction with applying PaGamO online gaming platform into math teaching.
