Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺中科技大學 === 財務金融研究所碩士班 === 107 === With the changes in the environment and the times, women’s consciousness and career has risen, and women have gradually gained their place in the workplace. However, compared with men, the proportion of women who are directors and senior managers is still low, and there is a widespread gender gap. This paper uses the data from 2006 to 2017, using 21 listed banks in Taiwan as a research sample, using the three-stage least squares method to analyze the impact of board gender diversity on capital adequacy, asset quality, and profitability of banks in Taiwan. This paper argues that there may be interactions between capital adequacy, asset quality, and profitability, so a simultaneous equation model is established. The result shows that there are dummy of presence of female director, dummy of female CEO, number female director and female director ratio, which have a significant positive correlation with capital adequacy ratio and positive influence on capital adequacy indicators.
