A questionnaire survey was adopted to investigate the motivation to use LINE for task communication, communication satisfaction, and contents of task communication. The participants were counselors from 22 junior high schools in Taitung County. Purposive sampling was adopted for data collection. A total of 203 questionnaires (the self-developed “LINE usages among junior high school counselors in Taitung County”) were distributed and 200 valid questionnaires were collected, resulting in a 96% response rate. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, t-Test, and One-way ANOVA. The results were as follows: 1. The main motivation to use LINE among junior high school counselors in Taitung County was instrumental motivation, followed by social motivation. 2. As regards communication satisfaction of using LINE, junior high school counselors in Taitung County were more satisfied with communication for the whole organization. 3. The contents of task communication mainly included administration-oriented support and encouragement. 4. Different background variables significantly affected “LINE usages” and “contents of task communication at the Counseling Office”. 5. “LINE usages” was positively correlated with “contents of task communication at the Counseling Office” at a significant level. 6. “Motivation to use LINE” was positively correlated with “communication satisfaction of LINE” at a significant level.
