For the purposes of going to school, the highest level of the education institute in Lanyu is Lanyu Vocational High School. Most of the teenager in Lanyu leave hometown alone to Taiwan for senior high school, junior high school, or higher degree. Due to the practical economic issue, many Dao people stay at Taiwan for jobs, and they tend to marry people who are not from Lanyu. In previous decade, Dao people aged from 25-40 are more and more likely to go back to hometown, Lanyu. People who goes home includes just graduated, just married, and seeking for jobs. Various reasons give Lanyu younger atmosphere. The researcher had been employed as a teacher in elementary school for 4 years at Lanyu. Starting as a stronger to become a friend, or even a family-like person to Dao people in Lanyu, the researcher can feel the concept of going home for standing for the Dao’s culture in Dao people more becoming stronger and stronger in the daily life. The sense of belonging of the land and the culture pushes many Dao people going home for jobs after they graduated from schools. The present paper is configured to discuss the activities Dao young people (aged from 25-40) who going back to Lanyu working at. This paper further discusses the current issue at Lanyu, the impact of tourism, the impact of multi-culture, and the arising of national consciousness. The author participated the social movements, and recorded constantly the result by interviewing, field researching, and videotaping for discussing the original reason and the result of back to Lanyu.
