Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 會計學研究所 === 107 === This study examines the main effects of goal difficulty, and creativity self-efficacy as well as their interaction on creativity performance. This study recruits 124 students as the participants in an experiment that manipulates goal difficulty at three levels (no, simple, or difficult goal), and measures creativity self-efficacy of the participants who are randomly assigned to one of the three conditions of goal difficulty. The task in the experiment involves designing the use of a long time unused building on the campus. Their design is then rated by independent raters who are not aware of the objectives of the study, with the creativity rating serving as the dependent measure. The results show that setting a goal (i.e., simple goal and difficulty goal) as opposed to no goal improves creativity performance. But goal difficulty does not have a significant effect on creativity performance. Creativity self-efficacy is positivity associated with creativity performance. But the interaction between goal difficulty and creativity self-efficacy does not have a significant effect on creativity performance.
