In this aged society, it is essential to study the intent of elderly of using new technology. This study collected literatures, explored the barriers that elderly face when using technology products, and divided barriers into physical, psychological, and disability aspects. Literatures were mostly focusing on technical products such as cell phones or tablets, however Khaw (1997) argued that healthy ageing is a multifaceted adaptation of life, including physical, psychological and social health. Based on the concept of healthy aging, this study is focusing on the use of health improvement systems to develop the physical and mental health of elderly. In addition, whether the confounding factors found in other literatures affect the intention of using low factors due to obstacle factors, thereby increasing the intention of use for the elders. The study conducted the Health Improvement System in Fuzhou, one of the physical therapy clinic in Taichung, and National Taiwan University Hospital Bei-Hu Branch, and the Health Improvement System. Participants used the Health Improvement System for questionnaires and analysis. After the interview, several elders who filled out the questionnaire were used to understand the reasons for the intent and confounding factors affecting the intention to use. At the same time, we also collect potential confounding factors from interviews with elderly as a research direction, which can be further explored in the future.
