Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 機械工程學研究所 === 107 === This thesis studies the topology reconstruction and defect repairing of STL (Stereolithography) models, and some applications for projection of patterns on STL model surfaces are also presented. The STL model is a file that stores triangular facets information of approximates 3D model surfaces. A self-developed C++ program is used to repair possible defects in STL files, and to reconstruct the topology information of the models. In addition, some application tools for processing STL models are also developed, including contour line searching and pattern projection on STL models. In model contour line searching, top surface facets are first generated, holes in top surfaces are repaired, and then contour line can be found from model topology information. For the pattern projection on STL model surfaces, first projection of a line segment in 3D space on STL models with given projection direction is developed, then projection of patterns consisting of line segments can be obtained. Finally, applications such as projection of gluing lines of shoe models and projection of circuit wires on hemisphere models are presented. It shows that the software tools of topology reconstruction, model defect repairing and pattern projections for STL models can be used effectively and successfully.
