Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 書畫系造形藝術碩士班 === 107 === The creation research starts from picture book which focuses on graphic painting and applications of colored ink media, also using framing and printing as ways of presenting to display diverse aspects of art. With the concept of “semi-picture book”, the series of work could be viewed in a row as original stories and also be viewed separately as individual art works. The research includes five chapters: (i) Raise the significance of picture book as an important role in education and aesthetic sense training. Further, investigate the rarity of picture book even ink-painting picture book creation in Taiwan. Then proceed to state the theme of my research— to display the artistry of picture book and what multiple applications of colored ink media exhibit. (ii) Research into the soul spirit and the image applications of ink artwork based the theories on both Oriental aesthetic and Western aesthetic, trying to make my creation with the intension to not only initial a new page but inherit the tradition. (iii) Analyze Dr. Ma Bai-Sui’s pieces and Taiwan’s indicative picture books in recent years. The analysis offers reference and basis for my design and creations. (iv) Analyze twenty collections from my picture book creations which are original stories contain six series— “Learn to Fly”, “Baby Elephant Desires to Fly”, “Don’t Want to Go to School” , ”Teeth and Monster”, “Merry Whale”, “What’s Under Bed?” and one single work— “Jumping”. The stories discuss the difficulty, frustration and self-identification issues encountered in one’s growth. And eventually, one fixes the issues with witty and humorous attitude. (v) Introspection and things gained from my creation research. The creation research tries to deliver the ideas and experimental art-carrying format by combining colored ink and various kinds of media, helping forward Ink Art to have more common and better combinations with public readers and picture books.
