Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 企業管理系 === 107 === The ingratiatory behaviors are culture-specific and would have different degrees of motivation in different cultural backgrounds, so this paper attempted to explore the relationship between individual traditionality, individual modernity, personal culture (i.e., power distance, individualism, uncertainty avoidance, long-term orientation) and the ingratiatory behaviors, and also examined the moderating role of need for achievement. In this study, Data were obtained through structured questionnaires from employees (N=411) working in a variety of organizations. Results indicated that individual traditionality and individualism positively related to ingratiation. Finally, we summarize the implications and future research directions.
