Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 設計系 === 107 === With the improvement of the quality of life, traditional industries, especially the fitness industry, have changed into a more modernized form. Its combination with the Internet provides more flexibility to users with needs and objectives and hence provides more business opportunities. Therefore, the purpose of this research study is to explore the current situation and development trend of fitness APP through literature review and research about the guidelines for interface design of fitness APP. Moreover, we want to conduct design experiment to help point out potential problems of current interface design regarding fitness APP and provide insights about how to improve the fitness APP to be more user-friendly. The research experiment is divided into three stages: (1) Behavior survey: It is related to literature discussions and survey through questionnaire; (2) Pilot experiment: Thirty participants were recruited via convenient sampling and the experiment was conducted and followed by analysis of results to gain insights of how to improve interface design; (3) Verification experiment: It is carried out by a two-factor experimental design of 3 (menu classification mode) x 2 (function presentation type), and 48 participants were recruited. The results of experiment included task performance, system usability, and user interaction satisfaction and were analyzed by statistical analysis. The generated results are summarized as follows: (1) The application of fitness tool is a highly integrated platform that provides a variety of services, and the provision of the course is the core of the fitness tool application. In the classification regarding the function presentation position, the hierarchical structure should be clear and easy to understand as the primary design element; (2) About the usage of the "page-and-click" classification menu, the difference between the classification column and the screening column is a critical point. In addition, the gesture operation is important in the classification menu. As for the usage of the "sidebar" classification menu, the text is more important than the pictures. (4) Direct presentation of the functional elements may increase the users’ task performance after they are familiar with the interface. (5) The overall design of the interface could be more dynamic and sporty.
