In order to explore whether the willingness of the gym enthusiasts to work out is influenced by the health behaviors of others and the social support, this research aims to discuss the health behaviors of the reference groups and the influence of the social support on exercise intention. The research objects are from the gym members in the northern, central and southern Taiwan. It is conducted by the convenience sampling, distributing and retrieving 500 questionnaires. The validity is 92.4 percent after excluding the invalid questionnaires. The research uses Correlation Coefficient Analysis and Structural Equation Analysis on the verification and the assumption. In addition, it also discovers the intervening effect of the social support between the social behaviors of reference groups and the exercise intention to work out. The result indicates the following points. First, the research objects in the three parts show the positive correlation in the health behaviors of reference groups and social support of exercise intention.Second, referring to the health behaviors of reference groups can positively predict the social support and the exercise intention. Third, when the researcher further explores the correlation between the health behaviors of reference groups and the exercise intention, the outcome shows the partial intervening effect in between. Last, the researcher leaves some concrete suggestions for the influence of reference groups of health behaviors and social support on exercise intention according to the research results.
