Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立虎尾科技大學 === 工業管理系工業工程與管理碩士在職專班 === 107 === This research mainly discusses the surface roughness of medium carbon steel in the griding process. The objective of this research is to determine the optimal griding parameters for surface roughness of medium carbon steel. Different from the rule of thumb method commonly used in the industry to determine the combination of parameters, this research utilitizes Taguchi method to find out the optimal griding parameters for the griding process. This research first uses cause and effect diagram to select four control factors: material hardness (A), lapping rotational speed (B), griding feed (C), and wheel dressing times (D); then conducts the experiments based on the L9 orthogonal table. The S/N ratio is calculated for each experiment. The result shows that the optimal parameter combination is A3, B3, C2, and D3. In addition, the result of variance alalysis shows that factor A and factor D have greater impact than factor B and factor C. Finally, further experiments are conducted by using the optimal parameter combination to verify the result.
