For this purpose, the researcher interviewed five high school students who are children of new immigrants to collect and analyze qualitative data. After organizing the qualitative data, the researcher found that children of new immigrants face many difficulties while growing up when it comes to adapting to daily life and learning at school due to many factors such as their fathers’ socioeconomic status, their mothers’ cultural differences, family education and social stigma. This is why it is crucial for educational departments of the government and schools to face up to the problem children of new immigrants face when adapting to daily life and learning. This research also sheds light on some issues worth mentioning about the adaptation problems of new immigrants’ children: (1) New immigrant mothers are a key influence to their children’s language development; (2) Poor verbal communication skills might affect school adaptation for children of new immigrants; (3) Children of new immigrants do not face stigma from their peers; (4) The parenting attitude of new immigrant spouses affect the learning performance of their children. Based on these findings, the researcher offers some suggestions for policy making to improve nurturing abilities of new immigrant families and the learning adaptation for their children: (1) Take measures to increase social support and social welfare; (2) Set up educational centers as a way for new immigrant females to learn parenting skills; (3) Staff members at schools should create a friendly learning environment to improve learning motivation and the confidence of new immigrants’ children.
