Description
Summary:碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 管理碩士在職專班 === 107 === This study mainly explores the effect of jump rope training on the physical fitness of fourth-grade students in elementary schools. The research subjects are the students in the two classes of an elementary school in Xitun District, Taichung City. One class is the experimental group (25 people) and the other class is the control group (26 people). The experimental group continues to perform the 12-week jump rope exercise training. They uses the self-study time every morning for three days, 40 minutes each time. The control group does not implement jump rope training, just stays in the classroom for self-studying. In term of physical fitness test, the pre-test and post-test are performed during the test period. After obtaining the pre-/post-test data, we utilize the independent sample t-test and the dependent sample t-test to analyze the impacts of jumping rope exercise. In addition, we also employ the regression analysis method for further discussion. The results are as follows: 1. After the 12-week jump rope training, except for BMI, the physical fitness performance between the pre-test and post-test of the students in the experimental group have significant differences in cardiopulmonary endurance, muscle endurance, flexibility and explosive force.( p<.05); 2. After the jump rope training, the muscle endurance, flexibility and explosive force of the experimental group are better than the control group; besides, the experimental group is superior to the control group in cardiorespiratory endurance, but there is no significant difference. The regression results show that jump rope exercise has a significant improvement on the physical fitness of school children. Therefore, according to this study, after the 12-week jump rope training, the fourth-grade school childrens cardiopulmonary endurance, muscle endurance, flexibility and explosive force have significant differences. Since jumping rope exercise has some features such as simple and easy to learn, suitable for all grades of teaching, and flexbile exercise place and time, it is very applicable for on-site teaching, and is helpful to cultivate regular exercise habits and increase exercise time to improve the physical fitness of school children.
