碩士 === 實踐大學 === 服裝設計學系碩士班 === 107 === In the past years, women in all trades start to have their voice heard, females’ consciousness are awakening. Related research, social movement, policies and artwork are also on the rise. Feminism can be traced back to the 15th century, and it takes different forms and representations in different eras. In the field of creative art, female artists give a critical look at patriarchal system and contemporary ideas. They also create artistic terms from female perspectives, female body image and life experiences as ways to reconstruct self-value and power. This research would blend female artistic thinking with clothing design and de-construct the basic structure of clothing. Through experimenting on materials and on spaces, the researcher aims to re-construct the images of females. By means of clothing design, the researcher wants to render new discourses and perspectives on female art, body and characteristics. In this research, the researcher draws an analogy between female body and flower, and the forms and images of flower are embodied in the clothing design. Also, in the design process, several female-written stories are collected and the sentiments are blended into the clothing as well. Finally, through exhibiting the clothes, female vitality, thinking, and life experiences are performed. The researcher hopes that the clothe sign in this research would reinforce the idea that female characteristics are tender and resilient at the same time. In a broader sense, the female can freely express their self-consciousness, values, uniqueness in any area of life. Keywords : Feminism , Feminine art , Body , Fashion design
