Single-father families in the military are especially difficult in organizing their military work and family responsibilities. This study explores the family responsibilities and difficulties of single-father families in the military under the pressures of military missions. Also, it examines the social support networks of these military single-fathers. The research findings are as followings. First, single-father families’ social support networks mainly depend on their families of orientation. Their emotional social support could be passively accessed, and this also reflects the fact that the services of National Army Mental Health Centers cannot satisfy the needs of single-father families in the military. Second, single fathers in the military feel guilty for their absence of everyday life in families. Third, the family responsibilities bring single-father families in the military much more pressures than military missions. Keywords: single-father families, pressure, parenthood practice, social support ZHOU HAI JUAN 周海娟 2019 學位論文 ; thesis 114 zh-TW
