The investigated sensor design includes two structures: LC resonant circuit and Wheatstone bridge circuit. The sample under test are steel core aluminum wire 795 (MCM) (45/7) Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced cables, which are transmission conductor consisting of aluminum wires and steel wires. In order to distinguish the corrosion signals between aluminum and steel, the high-frequency 77 kHz and low-frequency 100 Hz probes were used to detect analyze the eddy current signal to distinguish the state of steel wire and aluminum wire. During the test, the cable is inspected by the air core eddy current probe, the eddy current signal is read by the instrument measuring system, or the signal is read by the self-made two-channel driving circuit combined with the national instrument data acquisition device USB-6353. The graphic interface of a computer program displays the test results in real time. The experimental results show that the corrosion degree of ACSR can be judged by the distribution and variation in magnitude and phase of impedance.
