Description
Summary:博士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 土木工程系土木與防災博士班 === 107 === In recent years, the application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) has been widely used in architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. BIM technology has been used in the project lifecycle, including planning, design, procurement, construction, operation and maintenance phase etc. In practice, there are many limitations and difficulties using 2D CAD drawings for constructability management. To improve the above problem, this study proposes a BIM-based constructability review and evaluation model for general contractors (GC) in construction site. Traditionally, constructability management still relies on the subjective judgment of the experience of engineering personnel or supplemented with 2D-CAD drawings serve as a basis for planning and evaluating. The proposed approach is then applied in the selected case study in Taiwan to demonstrate the effectiveness in practice. Finally, this study identifies the benefits, limitations, conclusion, and suggestion for further researches.
