Slow blending with life and life begins to turn numb. Then flashes of memories from the simpler times starts to appear. The good, the bad, the happy and sad times. These memories are ordinary but rather precious. When dealing with these remaining warmth from the past, I choose to use art as a method of finding peace and thankfulness. This thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter explains the steps of this study. I look back on my past projects to observe my own characteristics and personal traits. Looking into the turning points of my mind to look for further motives to create art. The second chapter” Broken Senses” discusses how senses can be a trigger for memories, then turning these experiences into images. Understanding the relations between the memory process and the emotions that intertwine with it. The third chapter “comfort zone” is the area where growth and memories exists. It talks about how the culture development and personal experiences of traditional garden life transfers into modern ones. The methods of how emotions transfers from thought to object and the methods of how symbols are translated. The fourth chapter “Splitting and Grouping” is the characteristics of the broken pieces of memories. How colors, blank spaces, textures and space can be constructed together. With the use of forms and medium, expressing the experiences of senses and personal memory images. The fifth chapter” Conclusion” is a review and conclusion of my current creative stage.
