The play was written by French playwright, Eugene Ionesco, whose works of “theater of the absurd” are unique and poses challenges for directors who are trying to direct his works. This thesis also covers the confusions and experimentations while rehearsing, as well as the interpretation of the script, scenario analysis, processing techniques, creative style, physical theater, theater relations, and political thinking of the production. According to chapters, the director reveals the concept and ideas, and records communications with all departments of the theater group. There are also reviews and criticisms of the show and the process of producing the play. The former chapters portray the self-projections and feelings of my personal experience that the script has reminded me of, and how the real and intense emotions hidden in the absurd lines of the scripts make people feel. Focusing on the resistance and poorness in these characters against the irresistible situation and natural phenomena, the dilemma and inner fear are the main axes, followed by the analysis and discussion of the script, and the comparative analysis between the objectivity analysis and the director’s creative vision. The later chapters are the records of the rehearsing process of the production, including exploring how to visualize the profile of the main characters and the scenes by creating and exploring the form of the physical theater inspired by the script. And also find the balance between the realistic performing approach of acting and the poetic symbolic scenes. To support the variation of the play, various experiments were done including the use of symbolism in music and the diversity use of physical theater. Keng, Yi-Wei 耿一偉 2019 學位論文 ; thesis 118 zh-TW |
