Methods: the opponents of these four matches of Momota were SHI Yuqi (China), CHOU Tienchen (Chinese Taipei), LEE Chongwei (Malaysia), and CHEN Long (China). The data were collected from https://www.youtube.com/. Data were analyzed with percentage counts statistics. Results: 1. Momota used short service to serve the ball to spot 6 and 7, which accounted for 94.4% or his total service. 2. Momota tended to use net shot and net lift to return the serve to spot 1, 2, and 13, which accounted for 58.9% of his total service return. 3.Momota scored with mainly four techniques, the net shot and net lift in forecourt; overhead wrist shot and smash in the backcourt. 4. Momota was scored on mainly four techniques, the net shot and net lift in forecourt; retrieve and overhead wrist shot in mid-backcourt. Conclusions: Momota activated serve the ball to certain spots in order to limit the return of opponents during his service and return of service. The score can be quickly earned with his neat overhead wrist shot and smash techniques. However, the scoring techniques he used were also with high risks of being scored. The successful rate of his scoring techniques must be advanced so that he can stabilize his good performances and achievements in the world class badminton competitions.
