By reacting with different ligands (L), discussing its different chemical properties and related catalytic reactions. Treatment of Tp(PPh3)2Ru-Cl with 2-Aminopyrimidine afforded ruthenium halide complex Tp(PPh3)(H2NC4H3N2)Ru-Cl (2c), addition of NaN3 to 2c produces the azido complex Tp(PPh3)(H2NC4H3N2)Ru-N3 (3c). Furthermore, the metal-bound heterocyclic complex Tp(PPh3)(H2NC4H3N2)Ru[N3C2(CO2CH3)2] (4) is obtained from dimethyl acetylene dicarboxylate. The reaction of Phenylacetylene with 2c and 3c produced ruthenium acetylide complexes Tp(PPh3)2Ru(C≡C-Ph) (5) and Tp(PPh3)(H2NC4H3N2)Ru(C≡C-Ph) (6). Preliminary results on the catalytic activity of Tp(PPh3)(H2NC4H3N2)Ru-N3 are also presented. Tp(PPh3)(H2NC4H3N2)Ru-N3 catalyzes cycloaddition of terminal alkynes and benzyl azide to give the triazoles in organic and aqueous medium. The selective and conversion rate depends on alkyne substrate. The structure of 3c have been confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.
