Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺北市立大學 === 運動教育研究所 === 107 === Purpose: This study examined the relationship between athletes’ perception of coach motivational climate and moral disengagement, and also identified the mediating effect of basic psychological needs within the relationship. Method: The participants were 411 team sports athletes from several colleges. A battery of measures regarding coach motivational climate, moral disengagement, and basic psychological needs were conducted under practice conditions. All data were analyzed by Pearson correlation, stepwise regression analyses and mediation effect analyses. Results: The relationship between motivational climate and moral disengagement was partially mediated by basic psychological needs. Coaches’ task-oriented motivational climate would decrease moral disengagement; however, ego-oriented motivational climate would increase moral disengagement via basic psychological needs. Conclusion: The findings suggest that task oriented motivational climate is better for coaches to build up sport morality for their athletes, which is easier to satisfy athletes’ basic psychological needs.
