碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 機械工程系 === 107 === According to the statistics of the National Police Agency, Ministry of the interior over decades, the “Violation of speed regulations” always ranked in the forefront of the most frequent violations. In other words, not only many drivers would be penalty but also raise the risk of incidents because of the violation mentioned above. In order to reduce the speeding event, this study constructed a system then, established the database by collecting images of speed restriction board through a dashboard camera. Utilizing the object detection methods that have matured in recent years to find the position of the speed restriction board in the image. Trained in a database and finally predicts the current speed limit to alert the driver to avoid from overspeed cause by not paying attention.
