Various psychological schools have diverse opinions on the function of dreamland. Many creators have also made expressions with the exploration of dreamland as the theme. The busy life makes modern people tend to ignore the changes and feelings of their inner emotions. The information provided by the body allows us to feel the state of ourselves and make adjustments. Dreamland is one of the messages obtained from the body.
By applying the function of conveying dreamland through Motion Graphics, this creation studied and analyzed the dreamland-related literatures of various psychological schools and interviewed Motion Graphics professionals and professional dream interpreters to explore the theory and process of treating dreams with art, which was extended as the planning basis for the creation experiment of dream images.
The experimental process completely recorded the dreamlands of five experimental subjects and the content of their creation of images and analysis. In addition, the creator transformed the phenomena and feelings in the experimental process into creative elements that were applied to Motion Graphics conveying Seth philosophy and dream-related theory.
The creation was divided into two parts, trailer and film, to guide the viewers to understand the functions of dreamland. Dream images were created through interactive applications of three-dimensional and print media. In the creation process, various creative elements were integrated into the works in an experimental way. Creative extension introduced dreamland in the theme units, and the creator’s own dream was taken as the main axis of creation using more media applications and attempts such as light carving.
