| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 數位媒體設計系 === 107 === In contemporary animation, camera language is an extremely important tool for storytelling and emphasizing character relationship. Various camera movements can enrich the visual effects and visualize the content of story. In the process of developing Twins, Two-Shot was found a great tool. Because there are only two characters in the layout of Two-Shot, character relationship is easily emphasized. Especially when the two characters come into collision, the conflicts and questions in their mind can be showed clearly. There is variety of methods of using Two-Shot. Scene change, the position of frame, layout design and so on makes the character relationship clearer. By collecting these methods and analyzing related animations, the way of making the relationship between two characters clear was found.
The result was applied to 2D animation, Twins, of which story is based on the experience of its creator. The story is about twin sisters born in martial arts family. The elder MU-RONG, is much more excellent at martial arts than her younger sister, CI-RONG, who always feels bad since childhood. One day, CI-RONG was out of balance and fell in training. She recalled all unpleasant memories and finally bust out under pressure. Her sister wanted to comfort her, but they came into collision. At this time, an evil man came to their gym. That was the twist for their relationship. The incident let CI-RONG find out what she was good at and bring about reconciliation between them. By analyzing the cases of Two-Shot using, character relationship is well show in Twin. The research results and the process of animation making were recorded and compacted for future researchers in related fields.
