Description
Summary:碩士 === 元培醫事科技大學 === 醫務管理系碩士班 === 107 === There has been changed in health policy. The major change measures in mental illness management and its treatment mode indicates the future vision of psychotic illness treatment is to facilitate patients to return society normally, while adapting them to gregarious community smoothly after medical treatment. However, the goal of mental illness treatment and follow-up is hard to overcome, there are problems remain in the care practice, especially in their daily home care with their family members. Since the Long-Term Care Service Act is now enforcement, some critical problems can be solved in certain situation. For example, the providing of financial aid and professional treatment for mental illness patients and their family, which can help illness patients and their family in terms of low care pressure and expenditure. The purpose of this study is to understand the importance and satisfaction of the needs of the main caregivers of mental patients. The paired sample t-test method is used to explore and analyze the differences in the importance and satisfaction of different primary caregiver traits. In addition, the importance-satisfaction analysis (I.P.A) analysis is used to confirm the order in which priority care providers need to prioritize services in the future. This study is conducted by using questionnaire survey in a regional teaching hospital in North Taiwan. There are total 161 questionnaires were sent to the main caregivers of psychiatric patients, and there are 150 valid questionnaires responsed, the valid response rate is 93%. The findings indicate that "the government can provide financial aid for mental illness patients" is the most important need for mental illness patients family. Moreover, the highest level of satisfaction is a professional treatment, i.e. "Health care staff discuss with you the symptoms of the patient and the causes of the disease". Thus, the "substantive demand" for the main caregiver is distinguished from the I.P.A results, which indicates "substantive demand" is still need to be improved. Finally, the suggestions and recommendations are provided to the main caregivers of the psychiatric departments of the medical institutions in accordance with the results of this study.
