Nuclear spectroscopy in light nuclei
Measurements of the angular distributions of the gamma-rays from the reaction N¹⁵ (p,αɤ)C¹² indicate that the 4.43 Mev excited state of C¹² has spin 2 and even (+) parity and that the 12.51 Mev and 12.95 Mev levels of O¹⁶ have spin 2 and odd (-) parity.
