The aims for this study is by a qualitative method investigate the regiment’s internal communication. Focus is on quality and to be able to access the core, semi-structured interviews with the management, information office, officers and soldiers were accomplished. The interviews’ represented a strategic choice, where knowledge of the environment and business were known before the interview took part. The interview questions were divided into three different themes, formal communication channels and social media, so were the issue questions. Coding and transcription were used to be able to find correlations between the answers from the interviews. Jacobsen and Thorsviks’ system theoretical model was the lead of this study, where focus specifically was on the culture in the organization. By applying the culture into this study, the ambition is to try to explain the results of the interviews and hopefully then be able to find new conclusions. The results of the study show that oral communication is preferred as communication channel for internal information. The study also showed that the sifting of internal information from the transmitter (management, information office, officers) to the receivers (officers, soldiers) is a big issue because of the hierarchical structure, where the information must run several stages before it finally reaches its destination.
