Abstract   The main purpose with this study is to investigate how principals consider that interaction about resources according to the law of protection against accidents works in their municipalities. There are little research done about this subject. Second purpose is to investigate how safety management between head municipality board and schools works from principal’s perspective.  Finally, the study aims to investigate how local boards and schools work with experiential learning of incidents within the municipal school district. The results of the study is based on interviews with principals. The analysis of interviews has been done with a directed content analysis. The result of the study is that principals has access to municipal resources in the injury and accident prevention management. However, this does not happened systematically. Further result of the study is that principals report that safety management between them and municipal board is minimal. The study has concluded that principals does not have the right conditions to conduct a quality systematic safety management. Principals pressed working situation makes that safety management is priorities down for other more prioritized duties. The study also shows that no general systematic learning is being done of incident in the municipals schools.         KEYWORDS:  Governance, United action, Systematic safety, Risk management, Experience learning, Work environment
