Summary:The purpose of this essay is to discuss and shed light on the possibilities with micro history in the classroom. In collaboration with local archives and museums, history can be made fun and interesting for students when the purposefulness of the subject is fleeting. To visit the local museum or archive and be educated in micro history is an experience and stimulates their creativity and learning. In order to answer the research questions one educator at the museum and on educator at the archive was interviewed. The study is of a qualitative manner. Results show that there are many benefits with a collaboration between museums, archives and schools, but there can also be obstacles on the way. Both educators believe that the main purpose of students visiting museums and archives is the experience.
