Description
Summary:In this degree project a modied point-mass trajectory model has been developed and evaluated using real ring data. The model has been simulated using the simulation framework FLAMES where external conditions such as weather and terrain data are taken into account. The dataused in the evaluation consists of a series of rings performed by the Swedish Armed Forces in year 2001. The data includes the locations of the gun, the target and the impact areas as well as the measured weather data. The results show that the model correlates well with the real data in general, and lengthwise in particular where most of the errors remain within 60 meters.
