This study is based on an interpretive view of knowledge and has a qualitative method. Through interviews with various experts of ADHD and other neurodevelopmental disorders the study aims at understanding the reasoning of children with ADHD as they navigate the complex cultural and institutional environments found in sports. Erving Goffman's theories about stigma are utilized in the study to further understand the relationships between youth with ADHD and coaches, other parents and peers in sports.
