The purpose with my study is to find out preschool pedagogues perspective in learning and evolving children’s educational matters through music. I base my literature theories in this study on Vygotskij and Fröbels theoretical perspectives. I chose to do a qualitative examination to be able to go deeper into my research, I also chose to interview four pedagogues and thereafter observe music activities they held. The observations are used as support for the interviews that I have done. This study shows that the pedagogues use music for more than just singing songs and rhyming. Music means joy, learning and fellowship. They also see music as a tool for the children’s oral and mathematical evolution. A conclusion based on this is that further learning is important for music’s influence in preschool.
