The purpose of this study is to find out how music teachers use digital learning tools and how the digital learning tools affect them in their teaching. I have done a qualitative survey and the informants were all members of the Facebook group "Musiklärarna". There were 60 music teachers in the F-9 and upper secondary school from all over Sweden who participated in the study. The result shows that many of the respondents use digital technology. However, not all the music teachers follows the syllabus for music (Lgr11) where it appears that the students will develop their ability to use digital tools for sound and music creation (grade 4-6) and digital tools for music creation, recording and processing (grade 7-9) ( Skolverket, 2011). My conclusion is that more education is needed in digital technology for music teachers, mainly in music creation with digital tools. As a continuation of this study, it is interesting and relevant to do a research how music teachers around the country work with music creation.
