A Sifo survey conducted in 2020 shows that 96% of Sweden’s teleworkers want to continue working from home, even after the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, understanding how their motivation has been affected by teleworking is important to employers and managers that will have to organize a working environment to foster motivation among their employees. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate how individuals from the same work group, after the first year of the pandemic, perceive that their motivation has been affected by teleworking. The research questions are: “In what way has teleworking affected individuals’ motivation?” and “Which factors should be taken into consideration when continuing teleworking after the pandemic?”. Six semi-structured interviews were conducted, and the results show that the majority of the informants’ motivation had not been affected by teleworking, although there were more advantages than disadvantages to teleworking; This was due to the great significance of the disadvantage of not being able to meet your colleagues in real life. For the future after the pandemic, a combination of working partly from home and partly from the office was preferred, as a way to receive all the advantages of teleworking, while also satisfying their social needs.
