Summary:This study can be divided into two main divisions: Chapters one to four offer an introductory outline of Zionist thinking towards the Palestinian-Arab people prior to the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, and of Israeli policies towards the remnant of the Palestinian-Arab population, which remained under Israeli rule. Chapter One : Zionist Political Thought Before Herzl- The Nationalist Revival in Europe Chapter Two Political Zionism Chapter Three: The Establishment of the State of Israel in 1948 Chapter Four : The Non-Existent Palestinian-Arab Chapters five to eight constitute the main body of the study. It attempts to examine through the application of correlative content analysis the image of the Palestinian-Arab in Israeli Hebrew commercial children story books. Chapter Five : The Consciousness of the Israeli-Arab Conflict in Israeli Hebrew Commercial Story Books Chapter Six : The Arab Character Chapter Seven: The Palestinian-Arab and the Arab Fighter Chapter Eight: Conclusions Drawings and illustrations reproduced from the literature reviewed are appended at the end of the study.
