Job satisfaction has rarely, however, been related to the quality of work that is produced on the job. At the various Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS) throughout the country, it is the quality of work rather than the quantity of work that is the critical issue. This study first examines the organizational structure and the duties and responsibilities of a MEPS, and then examines the correlation between job satisfaction and quality of performance. Correlations were found only in the Category III (small) MEPS and in Central Sector.
