Withdrawal from a Contract Focused on Withdrawal from a Contract on Transfer of Real Estate in Comparison to British Legal Regulations The purpose of this graduation thesis is to analyse two different approaches to legal consequences of a withdrawal from a contract. This topic is of great importance mainly in connection with a contract on transfer of real estate in case the purchaser subsequently transfers his ownership to a third party. The thesis is composed of an Introduction, seven chapters and a Conclusion. The Introduction deals with the position that the legal institution of withdrawal from a contract has in the context of the Czech civil law. It defines the term "contract" and provides that the withdrawal from a contract is one of the legal consequences of a breach of a contract. Then The Introduction outlines the approaches to effects of the withdrawal from a contract. At the end of the Introduction the purpose of the thesis is determined. Chapter One is subdivided into three parts and introduces the term of "withdrawal from a contract". The first two parts deal with some frequent cases of withdrawal from a contract and Part Three mentions termination of a contract by a parties' agreement.
